"View Down Kaminski Street" Taken by James Dillon Yeager
The West End Preservation Plan was completed during Dillon's Civic Planning and Policy studio in collaboration with Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments and Lawless Planning and Design Research. The results of the study were used in the 2020 Update of the Georgetown Comprehensive Plan's Cultural Resources Element. Dillon was responsible for completing the Contextual Analysis looking at Georgetown's history and urban morphology in order to make subsequent design recommendations. Part of this research also included site analyses and context mapping, which Dillon used to visualize the data into the using the methodology proposed by Julie Willaims Lawless. Finally, Dillon strategized Public Participation by conducting community surveys and design charette's in Georgetown. Please scroll down to the Final Plan.
